Experiences of an Elder Nomad

Hello, my name is Stanton Morris. I have been a nomad for the last 14 of my 76 years. This blog is about nomadic living for seniors. It is based on my and other older nomad’s real-life experiences.
First a disclaimer about the word “nomad.” It is simplistic, vague and overused. I limit its use in day to day conversations. I do not label myself a nomad when asked where I live, where I am from or what I do. My usual answer is, “I have an American passport. I am retired, move around and live where I want. I do not have a permanent address.”
Media coverage of nomadism falls into three overlapping genres:
- People, places, things and experiences nomads encounter.
- Financial and other practical aspects of particular brands of nomadism.
- Personal histories and circumstances that lead to nomadic lifestyles.
This blog is the third genre focussed on older nomads. Personal histories and circumstances are loosely organized into three overlapping main post categories: health, wealth, people. Health, wealth and people are indispensable pillars of modern life. For example, people want to be healthy. They need money to buy food to stay healthy. Other people produce and sell this food. People get money to buy food by working for or investing in other people. All necessities of modern life follow this pattern. Other post categories such as events contain other information about my elder nomad life style.
StansWorld is primarily based on my real-life experience. I invite you to submit comments, questions and your real-life nomad experiences.
